This virtual lab lets you explore radioactive decay and half-life using a radioactive source and a geiger detector, with an optional screen between the source and detector. The source can be cesium or barium, or just background radiation. The screen can be paper, aluminum foil, or lead. Every five seconds the number of observed radioactive decays is displayed. If your browser allows sound playback, you will be able to hear a click for each observed decay, just like a real geiger detector.
